Eating out is one of my favourite things to do, and when I eat out I go full hog! I’m talking cocktails, nibbles, main, DESSERT! I love trying new places and treating myself to fine dining once in a while however it’s nice to have somewhere to go that you can guarantee good food without breaking the bank. For me, that place is Bill’s!
For those of you have never been to a Bill’s restaurant… go! And for those of you who have, you’ll understand what I mean when I say they have a dish for every mood! Fluffy pancakes and trendy avo on toast for brunch. Mezze platters, light bites, comfort food and THE BEST selection of puds for lunch and dinner… They have it all!
I went to Bill’s in Leamington Spa last night to welcome in autumn with my friend Megan (who was a Bill’s dinner virgin) and we both left full, happy and with belly busting food babies!
We started our evening off with cocktails. I LOVE anything with rose in so I had the Raspberry and Rosehip Collins which is officially my new favourite drink!
When it came to picking our food we were indecisive and took our time um-ing and ar-ing over the huge range of dishes. I settled on Smokey Barbecue Ribs and Megan went for the Buttermilk Chicken Burger (she became that fussy diner adding on cheese and bacon and asking for NO MAYO! But the waiter was very happy to accommodate, which is always nice!)
The food was as expected, yummy! My ribs were so tender and the apple slaw was chunky, fresh and went really well with the sweet and sticky meat. Megs and I both agreed and the chips were a solid 10/10 and her chicken burger didn’t seem to stick around for long either!
Despite being stuffed we couldn’t say no to pudding and as Bill’s has the most drool worthy dessert menu ever the waiter didn’t have to ask us twice! Doughnuts for me and a Chocolate Bomb for Megan. Both were sticky, sweet, naughty and bloody delicious!
Bill’s never fails to impress me and it’s a great, informal dining space for a get together and belly stuffing! It’s safe to say if the rest of October is as good as the start then I’m in for a very good month!
