July was a good month for food. We’re now well over halfway through the year and I’m loving all the new food and drink I am getting to try. This month was a busy one and with a house move and the stress that comes with it I was glad to find some of the little gems mentioned below. Here are my favourite foodie finds from July.
Skippy Peanut Butter – America’s finest peanut butter has come to the UK! I’m in the states a lot and when I’m there Skippy is my choice of spread, so you can imagine my joy when I found out I can now buy it at home. As someone with a sweet tooth peanut butter is essential to my diet as a sweet, but healthy dip for apples and carrots.
Almondy Daim Cake – Almondy is a range of Swedish frozen desserts which have a traditional Swedish almond base and are then topped off with a choice of Daim or Toblerone (YUM!) The great thing is, that due to the base being made from almonds it doesn’t contain flour and is therefore naturally gluten free but still tastes rich and decedent. With 15 years behind them you can trust Almondy to deliver with every bite.
Real Handful Snack Packs – Healthy snacks are everywhere in todays market, but I am still always looking for new things to try. Real Handful offer energy boosting snacks that taste good enough to give you a healthy pick me up. My favourite is Strawberries and cream which is perfect for summer!
Popcorn Shed Salted Caramel Popcorn – I discovered The Popcorn Shed at this year’s BBC Good Food Show and was blown away by their tasty, home developed popcorn. Their Salted caramel popcorn has a thin coating of milk chocolate and caramel and is sprinkled with salt. A match made in heaven and perfect for a naughty treat!
Potash Farm Cobnut Fudge – I had never tried cobnuts until just recently, and as we have just entered their season it was a good time to do so. Potash Farm sell a range of cobnut products, including yummy cobnut fudge. This crumble treat has notes of vanilla and is packed full of cobnuts of course! Enter code ELLIES10 at checkout for 10% all Potash Farm products off until the end of September.
Bills London Dry Gin – It is no secret that I am a huge gin fan so when I was offered the chance to try Bills new fruity London Dry Gin I jumped at the opportunity! Created in-house by Bill’s founder, this gin has hints of coriander, grapefruit and cardamom and has son become a favourite of mine.
